The Ben Popoola Soccer Scholarship
A Legacy That Lives On
There are some people whose impact reaches far beyond the soccer field. Ben Popoola was one of those people. As the founding director of KC Blaze Soccer Club, Ben devoted countless hours to mentoring young athletes, building character, and inspiring a love for the game. He believed soccer was about more than winning—it was about developing leaders, creating opportunities, and making a lasting difference in the lives of others.
Although Ben passed away on July 2, his legacy continues through the many players, families, coaches, and friends whose lives he touched.
To honor his memory and continue his commitment to student-athletes, the Ben Popoola Scholarship at Park University has been established to support both men's and women's soccer players.
If Ben made a difference in your life or in the life of someone you love, we invite you to consider making a memorial gift in his honor.
